Our baby Evan is growing up. We so seldomly call him baby Evan anymore, epically after Smileys birth. He also preferees not to be known as a baby since he thinks he is so big. But no matter how big he is he still is a lap baby gladly crawling into your lap any chance he gets. He loves cuddles and hugs and this year he has started to love "gurls". Often I hear "Mommy boys luv gurls". Our Evan is a heart breaker.
He is such a giving, sharing, and happy child. He is amazing! So sweet, anything he has he immidealty and always makes sure his brothers have one too. He a a smile that stretches from ear to ear and a heart that is bigger than this world. I am so proud of my baby Evan.
For his birthday party he wanted to play with his friends and cousins. He was so happy to have his very best friend Gregory there. They could not be more connected. If they want someone to play with they look for each other if the want someone to fight with again they look for each other. When they need a wii partner they look to each other. I hope and do believe it will stay this way forever.
His grandparents and baby also came to his party. I am so elated how much they are in the children's life. The children look forward to seeing their grandparents and want them their at every milestone. The only one that fights with smiley is Evan. Smiley so wants to be like his big brothers and sometimes it bothers Evan. But second on his guest list is always his baby brother.
Never far from his thoughts is his cousin Danica. He LOVES her we all LOVE her! She is so special she is our little girl born exactly one year ofter him.
Evan you have grown so much in the past year. You have begun to read, to write to understand so much more. Your abilities have increased your family has increased and you are thriving.. You are an amazing little boy who is still my baby but also my joy and my growing boy. I love you Evan and so does everyone else. happy birthday big boy and may you have another wonderful year!

To Grandmothers House we go
Over the river and through the woods to Grandmothers house we go. Its not a just a song to us. It is the directions we follow to get to my parents house. My parents after 34 years of marriage have finally built their house out in the country. It is in the Mountianis state of West Virginia. I still laugh at their mountains, hills. After myself living in such mountains as the Cascades and my parents living in Colorado and Montana West Virginia seems to be such a joke. But this is where they chose and it is closer to me and the children so for that I am thankful.
The entire house building process has been a long one. This winter has not helped. The heavy snowfall we have revived on the East Coast has made getting to their new house impassable. Progress in building has been delayed and moving at the pace of a snail. But spring is around the corner and soon they will move into their little house in the country.

9 months old
Soft, kissable, sweet, the best baby in the world. How much do I love this little boy. I could not begin to say. I love Smiley. I love to play with him and mostly kiss him all over, gobble him up. I don't mind changing his diapers when it reveals his fat tummy. Every time I put my lips to it and blow he giggles and smiles so large. He has been a blessing brought in to our lives.
He is now 9 months old. Wow. He now has two little teeth and still a bald head. But a fuzzy bald fun to rub and pet almost like a puppy. He reminds me a lot of a little puppy. The other day as I came home he quickly crawled to mama with a tiny baby shoe in his mouth, precious. He is crawling around my legs right now and when you catch his big beautiful brown eye he will flash you his famous smile.
He is so cute so darling. I am so in love. He still only says dadadada , I am working on that. He now can pull himself up to a stand. He can walk along things. He looks so baffled when his oldest brother grabs him and carries him around the house. He gets in to everything and everything goes in his mouth.
He is love. He is sunshine. He is light. He is wonderful. He is heaven sent. He is Smiley and he is 9 months old.

A day it did not snow
Towards the end of a long snowy winter we all have cabin fever. The boys have been asking to go out and play for sometime no but the snow was too deep. Even the days after the snow melted down a few feet it was just too cold. However this week it warmed up a bit and it did not snow. Any accumulating snow. The boys were able to go outside.
We ran, jumped, played on the swing set, shoveled snow, it was so good to be outside.
But then those words came "Uh Mom, Mommy, its cold outside. We are going back in. But you can still play outside it you want to."

Bakugan scares baby
I was in the front of the house yesterday and I heard my baby screaming. It was a sharp high pitched scream one of uncomfort or dislike. It was short and as quick as he screamed it stopped by then seconds later he would do it again. I thought his brothers were doing something to their baby to aggravate him. I could not understand why their father would not steep in and stop it as he was in the room with all three.
The screaming kept up and I had enough. I ran into the room to take care of Brendan yelling Jay "why won't you help him!" I was silenced and shocked to see Jay was the one making baby scream and baby and he was just fine. The four of them were playing Bakugan. Or should I say the three of them were scaring Brendan with Bakugan.
What a silly baby. He was briefly upset every time the charter was dropped and spun on the floor. He had the greatest haunted fun house look to his precious self. There was no need for me to worry. But every need for me to grab the camera.

floor exercising
Today, is the first of March. The first...a new beginning. What's your new beginning? What do you want to start over or try new? I am going to try to make this month a healthy month. I am going to try to shed a few pounds and get back into something I love this month. I had a goal to run a marathon 26.2 miles by the time I was thirty. That did not happen. This month I turn 31, I never ran the marathon but I did not close the book on that dream in fact it is still at the fore front of my mind. I love to run. I love to walk and hike but I love to run. The human body was designed for it. Running strengthens you and frees your mind. It increases gray matter in the brain which can improve memory and learning, and potentially slow down the deterioration of mental ability. I like the way it makes your body feel when it is took care of and used to it potential. I have been running at the Y. I get on the elliptical machines and just go. Sadly my time has gone dramatically up since I have stopped. I need to get back into shape. I want to get bathing suite ready for a cruise with my love and I want to fulfill my goal of running a marathon. This time I will not put time limits on when it has to be by. I just want to do it for me.
I have started back at the gym and working out at home in order to get back in to shape for running. My boys are so excited. When they see they ask Mom can we do the exercise video? I am thankful I have such motivators in my life.
We tried today to exercise. Tried because I first kept saying later, not now. I did not want to do it. I did cave in and we tried.
I put in the dvd and all the sudden I had 3 little ones trying to work those abs.
Three little ones who believed the only floor room in the house was directly under me.
Three little ones who not only are my cheer leaders, exercise partners, but actually the main reason I have to work out. To work off 9 months of wonderful times, developing love.
