Busy but rewarding. I was able to spend a lot of time outside with the children and am excitedly awaiting the warm weather and for them to be home for summer break.
April 23
What do you do with the dyed Easter eggs? No one here like to eat them. The boys were asking about the inside of the egg when my light bulb went off. Break the open, have fun! The found out, had a blast and we now have a new Easter tradition, Easter egg smash.
April 24
The problem with tummy time is she has brother who see it as a chance for loving.

A little tired?
A newborn, big kids, and an almost two year old has worn us out. How tired are we?
Since 7am we have had 2 guys pounding on the roof, ripping it apart, sawing through it, at one point no roof, then tarping it and now putting shingles on it and yet each one of us (me, Jay, Smiley and Princess) have without a problem slept through a portion of it.

Easter is Over
I am glad. I spent weeks stressed out about what to do for Easter. How to decorate, what to wear, a big party or little one, what food, what about my under construction house, where is the time? Even with Easter as late as it was this year I had a hard time finding the time to get everything done. I think I could have possibly had the time if I would not have been spending time stressed about it.
How did it turn out? Wonderful of course.
What did I plan? Nothing. We just celebrated.
Friday we did color eggs. The boys were so happy they were looking forward to this.
After I took this picture I realized my oldest was wearing his school shirt. Now they don't have to wear a uniform at school but sometimes are asked to wear this blue shirt you see him in. It just so happen that 3 of those times are this week and one of them is for a picture. So of course he is wearing it to dye eggs in.
They dipped the eggs.
With all the different egg packs we had I pretty much went with dying them traditional colors. They boys did put wrappers and stickers all of them.
I hope it was fun for them. It was very stressful for me. And the I remembered why I hate coloring eggs.
It was everywhere. It stained dishes, the table, and my feet. Yes when it spilled it got on my feet and for two days I was walking around with blue feet. I thought I would be wearing boots to church.
Decorating I left to a minimal. I only put a few things up in the kitchen. for the past three weeks Evan had been bringing home egg pictures he colored at school. I hung those on one wall and put the egg holders that came with the box up on another. They were cute I might let them stay a week or so.
Is the Easter bunny real? Last year my kids figured out it was mom. However, they forgot that and this year still believed in the bunny. If they would have looked at what the bunny left them they could have figured it out this year too. But you don't care when you want to believe. They loved what they got.
Secrets
1. The same containers we used to dye the eggs in now hold peeps from E.B.
2. The blue sheers are from my room and the white runner we have out every year.
3. They were playing with the bunny the day before
4. The same baskets E.B. brings every year that were sitting in the living room for three days now, that they were rummaging through.
5. They kept asking about Faith, what is she going to get since they know she can't have candy. I kept telling them she is to young next year E.B. will bring her a basket to. But I felt bad and wrapped up a can of baby food from the pantry.
6. Candy from the candy box on top of the fridge.
I hope Santa is more clever.
The whole weekend was forecasted in heavy rain. Which is why the party idea pretty much got thrown out. I was dissapointed and the boys were even more so. However it turned out to be a very warm sun shinning weekend, it was beautiful. Way to call it again weatherman. If we would have known it would be like this we could have done a lot of activities outside. But we instead had a lot of fun with our Sunday school class inside. We sang, had a story, had snacks, and played games.
It was enjoyable. Our own little Easter bunny was even there.
She might have the smallest bunny but as everyone knows bunny multiple. We ended up wit 20 some!
They are so funny and look just darling all dressed up.
Jay and I have not been to church on Easter since before Gregory was even a year old, he is now 7.
As many people just go to church on Christmas and Easter we avoid it on those two days. There are so many extra people it chaotic. After all showing up there two times a year does not make you a good Christian. Following Him everyday does. But since we were teaching the 1st graders we had to go. This year amongst many times changing plans my parents came with us. That was special and it was my mom's birthday too!
She got to hold a little present through the whole service. I can tell she loves having a granddaughter. Faith is not her first granddaughter but the tiniest. She mentioned to me that my dad has yet to hold Faith so I put her in his arms and took a picture.
I can understand. Some people are very uneasy around babies. It does not mean he loves her any less he is just used to my rough and tough big boys. Speaking of them, they tried to get a picture with them and the grandkids. Tried is the oppertive word. We shot picture after picture and they all came out like this.
Someone was always running off, making face or crying.
Oh my goodness.
Foolishly we tried to get one of the 6 of us too. Same story. Many out takes and a few sorta okay ones but again someone is always doing something. And all the boys shirts are untucked. At least they were not covered in mud yet.
My kids are little boys not models and I love them.
As far as dinner we grilled and it was delicious. I was easy and its all gone.
So I am glad this holiday is behind us. Stress has eased up for this week at least. And maybe I will start getting ready for next year, probably not. After all May has a few stressful times planned too. I will just get started on those.

Project 365 week 15
A super rainy week. Some days warm some days cold. School, doctors appointments, too many trips to walmart and lots of activities. Things were pretty normal around here.
April 18
This contraption hooks to the back of our bikes. Often bored the boys climb in it and pull each other around. It is so funny to watch. They look like little people taxis.
April 19
Listen to some cool tunes
April 20
The boys had there first baseball game of the season! It was extremely windy but warm. Finally a day with no rain.
April 21
With the weather going warm to cold all the time the trees and plant are starting to bloom. And we all are battling some serious allergies. It pretty miserable.
April 22
Faith turns 1 month old!

3 things not finished
1. Renovation
How is the renovation coming along? It is not. We have been in a dead stop for a while almost a month. The contractor has not been here in a month. Wait no that is not true. He was here last week to see how far WE came in our part that needed done. He was last here working March 22. I remember because I was in the hospital having Faith. But I don't remember what he was even doing. We were supposed to prim and paint. It is about 90% primed and we could not decide on a paint color. His visit prompted me to run out and just get a color. I hate picking out paint colors. I never like them on the wall. Well I picked a neutral brown.
I think I might just hate this one in the can even. It looks very dark. I am worried.
As far as fixing the roof. It has been such a rainy month he has not been able to work on it. And it is not tarped, don't know why, so not only does it rain out side yup it rains inside too. The buckets we collect the drops in well Smiley loves to dump them!
2. Easter
Well it is now 3 days away and I have so dropped the "egg" this year. I am not much further than I was at 10 days. I did decided to stay here. My parents decided to drop by our church for service and in there words "grab a burger afterwards". Inspired one afternoon I went to good will to look for inexpensive decor. I thought I could quickly throw together a party. Then we would have a delicious spread here not McDonalds. I found a jackpot of egg dyes there. For only .49 cents too! I grabbed for sparkle, marble, toy story and balls for Smiley.
At home I remembered I don't like to color eggs. I like to buy and stuff the plastic ones. And 4 boxes that is going to take a lot of eggs. I don't remember why I don't like coloring eggs but I will re-find out on Friday.
A trip back down memory lane...
My oldest 2 coloring eggs many years ago
While at good will I also picked up this bunny. It reminded me of something my mom had around the house as a kid. I think the boys will like it and for $2 I won't be mad when the break it.
I am still scrambling around trying to figure out Easter. I am hoping to get it all planned and maybe somewhat purchased today. I doubt it though I see a late night Saturday wal mart trip in my future.
3. belts for the boys
Since I was at good will I looked through there belt section to find the right type of belts to make a lego belt for my boys. No luck. I am trying to find kid belts with a flat buckel like this
I can't find them anywhere! Why does it have to be like that? I was reading a blog I like and she had this picture up
My oldest was looking over my shoulder and said MOM I want one of those can you make me one? Sure. They look so easy and I never though it would be this hard to find those belts. The boys are constantly reminding me they don't have there Lego belts yet. Glad they are at school no so they do not see me looking at the pictures of the elusive belt again. You can see the whole post on how to make it over at Crat-O-Maniac She makes lot of cool stuff I have put on my to do list.
All being said nothing will get accomplished if I sit here so I am off. A busy day, a long to do list, and I better get started.

Project 365 week 15
I am trying to figure my new family out. I am trying to find a rhythm. Juggling these kids activities, home and two babies is starting to catch up to me. I have NO time. I was doing just fine the first few days home but now...well it will come. I just wish I had help.
April 9
At healthy kids day they learned how to give the bear a shot. Poor bear kids are cruel at there choice in shot locations.
April 10
We went to Chuck E Cheese. The look on Evan's face sums up how excited I was to go. Despite that look the kids had the best time.
April 11
Taxi mom. I spend so much time driving these kids around. I drive them places they drive me nuts ;)
April 12
Perfect match.
April 13
Not a fan of the chin strap.
April 14
Sometimes they hug and kiss on each other just to make the other one cry. Is it a boy thing or siblings, or just my sibling boys?
April 15
The baby doll is real. Faith is tiny.
April 16
Tag Day. It poured terrenchall amounts of rain today. I mean biblical seeming portions. My boys scared boys in the car were even praying for it to stop. Even through all this rain the older ones and I went out for Tag Day. A local fundraiser for there baseball team. People were very generous to the wet adorable looking little kids asking for donations to support there team.
April 17
Palm Sunday. Gregory holding his palm and sorta listening to the story. Wow 1 week till Easter! I better get a move on things.

10 days till Easter
Did you know Easter is 10 days away? Do you know what you are doing for Easter? We DID. But our plans changed and now I am trying to figure out what to do last minute.
I have not got anything ready for Easter yet. Or for Palm Sunday, Good Friday as a matter of fact too. Before Faith was born I was so bored and and waling around impatiently with not doing anything but waiting for her. During this time decorating for Easter crossed my mind but I thought it was to early.
We were going to head down to my parents for Easter as this year Easter also falls on my mom birthday. That was more than fine with me. After Faith came I just have not had the time to decorate and get into an Easter party planning mode. That made it a lot easier on me. But this they decided to head to the Poconos for her birthday. Now I am left 10 days out and deciding what to do.
I can take everyone down to Washington D.C and celebrate with 4 generations of family, lots of cousins and have a good time. I have not been down to D.c. in a few months and the kids would enjoy this. As a child we got to celebrate at the White House Easter Egg Roll before. Now we would not be so fortunate this year but the children would have a great time down there. The downside, I don't know what the weather will be like and if it is raining it will suck with everyone crowded inside. It will cost me between $50- $100 in just gas to drive down there depending on which vehicle I take. And if I take the monster truck...yeah that is a fun one to park down there.
I can stay home and do an Easter celebration here. It would be intimate and fun and weather would not be a factor. But I have done nothing for it yet and would have to scamper to get it all ready. And I do kinda have a lot on my plate now. Scampering is expensive. I bet I would easily blow more that the $50-$100 that I would spend in gas on treats, prizes and decorations. But I would not have to travel and deal with the beltway.
I don't know what I will do. This is my pro con list. Either way I am now going to hop around blogland and look at awesome Easter decorations! I love seeing what others have done and made.
The beautiful Easter silhouette is a free download I found earlier this week. You can get it too at Le Papier Studio it is one of my newest follows. I just LOVE her silhouette work it is the best I have seen. I wish I could order everything.
