Red Neck Taxi

This was just too funny, too redneck. We were up at the lake and heard a loud engine. Then up the street came a tractor pulling a flatbed caring on it 2 canoes, a cooler, 2 lawn chair just sitting on this flatbed with 2 (I'm guessing) intoxicated rednecks in them. The biggest smile of disbelief and laughter came across Jay and my face.

Photobucket

They pulled right in front of us. The driver looking all the part of a goofy redneck frat boy in his sun hat. He got in position to parallel pack the "taxi".

Photobucket

And then he did. This can't be the first time they have done this.

Photobucket

But it might be the last.

lazy days of summer

Who ever thought summer would be so busy? One month in we have yet to have a day that does not have some sort of scheduled event. I wanted a laid back, fun in the sun, time with the kids, summer. It has not been quite that.

We started off June with a vacation, a trip back down to Massanutten.

Photobucket

This was the slowest time of summer yet. We played at the park.

We saw deer everywhere. They were so hard not to hit with the car, truly over populated. Instead we shot them.

With the camera.

Took hot deep bubble baths.

Photobucket

Since we have no sand why not bury us in bubbles?

Photobucket

The boys built a fort.

Photobucket

And played in the creek.

Faith played with her octapuss.

We celebrated Smileys second birthday.

Gregory played on his gameboy even though I told him to stop and smile.

Ugh I wish I was back to relax.

The shell necklace

During the first week of June I was the luck winner of a sorta shell necklace from Amy over at nine-ninety-onehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif she is a great blogger that keeps up almost daily (much better than me). I love to enter easy contest. If you are giving something away...give it away don't make me register at many different sites, add them to my facebook friends, or tweet about it, I don't enter those ones. Amy was offering this necklace set to her readers so I thought yay it is so pretty I will try and...I won!

Photobucket

Perfect for beach attire.

Photobucket

I wish I lived at the beach! Anyone giving away a beach house?

And good for all around.

Photobucket

Thank you Amy!!!! It was so nice of you. It made my day and is so perfectly fun for summer.

Project 365 week 23

week 23 was luckily not very exciting. Sometimes we need the normal. But normal never means not overly busy.

June 12
This has to be my favorite picture of the week, month.

June 13
The big boys started day camp.

June 14
during our grocery store trip Smiley was ridding in the front of the car cart. At one point I noticed he had his shoes off, a bit later I pushed the cart over his socks and then put them back on him. However they came off again and by the time we were done at the car we were left with one sock. At least we still have two shoes.

They help me out a lot by holding her, feeding her and making her laugh. They make it easier unless they are hungry too.

smushed in a chair

My kids are always squeezing into the same seat or fighting over who sits where. So is it a picture of brotherly love or what there stupid arguments are about.

Memorial Day

The unofficial start of summer for most people. I am ready for summer. It was not quite the start of summer for us as the boys had a few more days left of school but it was still a day for a parade, a picnic and playtime.

We started off the morning with the customary town parade. But we were in it again. Yay that makes parades so much more fun. The older boys and I were in a Thanksgiving parade a few years back for AWANAS and this time the boys were in the parade for baseball. It was the first time the babies were in the parade. The rode in the stroller, I pushed, the big boys walked and it was almost 100 at 9 in the morning. We were hot!

Photobucket

Enough heat we took off afterwards down to my parents to play and eat.

I sat up on the porch and watched as the boys played in the water and with sparklers. Even though it was still day light.

Photobucket

Pepa would light them and they boys would go wild.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

As always they loved playing in the water. They loved playing in the woods.

Photobucket

Smiley he just loves. I love to play with him.

Photobucket

And I get to more when I have extra hands around. They love Faith, we all do, but they spoil her and hold her constantly.

Photobucket

I am so glad for there help and love. There is so much I could not do with out them.

Photobucket

The outfits Smiley and my mom are wearing she made. She made Smiley's for Gregory when he was one I held it back and his little brother who wants to be just like him and now he wears it. Faith's outfit is yes lined it blue. It was a gift for Smiley from a great friend but was the wrong size at the wrong time for him. So I held it back never believing I would have a girl. And well it was hot and this was cool so I put on her with a big blue bow and tada she wore here patriotic stars.

Water and sparklers are fun but ask the big kids what is the best thing about their grandparents house... well pepa lets them shoot real guns.

Photobucket

Photobucket

They are actually getting really good and my anxiety is going down. How far I have come from the original first few years of NO GUNS!!! Not even toy guns. I gave up boy will be boys lets teach them to use them right and safe.

It seems so long ago now but it was a nice day. Now we are very much looking forward to the next holiday and birthday the 4th of July!
